Juan came in was very professional. However, dispatch staff did not contact with me that he would be delayed when it was agreed that he would be here between 10-2pm. When it was close to 2pm and called and the young lady told me , she thought he was already here. After contacting Choice to get clarification on his arrival, Juan called me and stated he was an hour away still completing another job. It was more the lack of communication with the dispatch staff that could have contacted me informing of the delay.
We were assigned 1st Response through Home Warranty of America (HWA) to help us with some leaks in our home and Luis was the technician that came out to us. He had great communication skills and gave us a heads up when he was 30 minutes out. He came by, fixed everything within around 1 hour, and also tried helping us with getting our water heater replacement covered by them as well but HWA did not bite on that. Great technician (front office could do better though and say he mostly speaks Spanish as in very little English, if my wife wasn't there I would have had to rely on translating everything). This seems to be a common theme for this company that their front office is not the greatest, but their technicians are, but honestly as long as you get a competent laborer I'll deal with some not so bright coordinators.
Worst company to work with for water mitigation. Andrea is the worst overall. Said i had equipment in my home for 20+ days when they only left it for 1 day and the other for 13. Over charged on the estimate to my insurance. Sent my stuff to a debt collector without contacting and the debt collection agency they’re working with, it’s funny, this plumbing company won’t send them a itemized receipt or even the machines reading. The company won’t give me the readings either to prove fraud claims.
The service guy has visited my unit for the repair, the HOA service staff declared that it might be from bathtub overflow. We asked to the tenant and understood that it had happened during the bath. He directly speculated about the system without opening the lid that he might break the part of the system when he tries to repair so he offered to get the confirmation of the opening the wall in case. Then you confirmed by the insurance to open the wall 2*2. So when he opens the lid, he will see the situation of the area. He may fix it without opening the wall or without changing the gasket. Maybe it is only the metal that keep the gasket and tube connection. After your call and conversation, your service guy called me and we talked about this issue and he wanted to get a photo of the bathtub about a reconfirmation and I sent a photo from my phone. I called him two times and texted a message, however no reply. You collect your payment without touching the lid. When do you come to repair, please let me know. Also HOA of the building is asking a schedule day.
Anna and Juan both did OUTSTANDING work. In regard to Anna-My claim with Choice Home Warranty Company started on 21 Feb 2024. Anna came on and worked with me and kept calling Choice after they attempted to only cover a portion of the plumbing issues in my home. Choice worked hard to find reasons not to fully cover the issue, but Anna was diligent and was able to get everything covered. I have condensed what she did, but let there be no mistake she went above and beyond and I am sure a critical part of your team. My unsolicited advice; keep and promote her. In regard to Juan-I have had at least three of your techs in my home to look at the same issue. This was all part of getting Choice to cover the entire claim. When Juan came to my home he immediately stood out because of his superior plumbing knowledge. He came out and changed 28 angle stops and several supply lines. As he worked he simultaneously took calls from other plumbers from your company helping them with issues they were facing. Juan stayed the course and did not quit until he replaced each angle stop. Then he checked every one for leaks. After correcting two leaks he said he wanted to check everyone again to ensure each was correctly installed. Juan did not leave my house until approximately 1920. As he was leaving he saw evidence that my water heater main lines were leaking. He recommended that I put in a claim to Choose. I just did and if they send it to your company I will request Juan be sent to fix it. My recommendation; keep and promote Juan ASAP! God Bless, JHJ
