I'm only giving a star because the plumbers Colepepper uses are always super nice and great, they deserve stars. For pricing, if I could give a negative 10 stars I would. I have used Colepepper for several things, good experience. Recently I had a faucet that was leaking in the bathroom. Plumber came out, said they can't fix must be a replacement. Okay - sounds good. My first quote was $1500 dollars! That's absolutely insane! I quickly said absolutely not, I know how much this should cost and that is not it. It then turned to a conversation of "Well what do you want to pay"... I said not that, thanks I'll get a quote elsewhere. Plumber had to keep calling who ever was making decisions and in minutes it went down to $900. Another call, and another rev went down to $789 plus the $100 I had already spent to book the apt... so $889 dollars. I honestly did it at this point because it had been a few hours and I needed this done and didn't have time to find another plumber at this point given I had client sessions for my company. A gentleman called a few days later to say the card they had on file had an issue and asked how service was. I gave a new card and said this pricing was super suspicious, odd, and how does it start at 1500 and go to 800. He was supposed to call me back and of course didn't. Did I mention I'm a woman? Well... sadly I feel like I got "woman" pricing. I hope I'm wrong, but this is just odd. I'm a woman who knows a lot about fixing things, pricing, and servicing... none of this really adds up. The plumbers are so nice, but I'm done with this place and feel I should mention to my neighbors as well.

Do not use these guys for big jobs!!!! For small jobs they're great but for big jobs they're a disaster! They gave us an estimate to replace all the plumbing under our subfloor, it was a bit high but I went with it because of the reputation of the company. Not only was I promised for a 2-week install that dragged out to 3 months but they used third-party installers to install my plumbing. It took one of their guys with the company uniform to come in and fix all the mistakes that the third party contractors did.. The guy in charge of the whole project was unprofessional and didn't even know the permitting process in Escondido. After all the headache and compensation I have a year warranty with these guys. So beginning of January because this was finished in September I found a leak under my kitchen cabinet which damaged the cabinet. They sent someone out to fix the leak no charge because it's part of the warranty but I have yet to hear back from a manager which I was told I would hear from them fairly soon regarding the damage on my cabinet... That is what has led me to write this review and warn everyone regarding their customer service for big jobs... Again nothing wrong with little jobs they are very professional but with big jobs go with someone else!!!!!

I scheduled a repair for my water heater. When you schedule with a plumbing contractor you assume a plumber is showing up. The individual who showed up was not a plumber and was a used car salesman at best. He preceded to tell me he could not repair my water heater, but took a bunch of photos of my other plumbing in my home and then texted to his boss the photos and from that told me all the reasons my plumbing was bad and tried to up sell me into a new water heater, new piping and fittings under my sink and mentioned issues with my toilets. My home is 4 years old! These are underhanded, deceptive, and deceiving sales and scare tactics when all I did was request somebody to look at my water heater. If this is your way of doing business shame on Colepepper Plumbing. It's important this type of experience be documented so people reading these reviews can choose to avoid a company like this. I know I should have!

I do not trust the technician that came out! The prices and repairs that he recommended were ridiculous. My garbage disposal was broken. He didn't even try to fix it or tinker with it at all and told me it needed to be replaced. Then he started looking around for other things to throw onto the bill! He told me that the water supply hoses had some corrosion on it and that I should replace them. It just looked like normal wear and tear and hard water build up (also these hose are about $5 at Home Depot and an easy do it yourself replace). In the end he recommended repairing a pipe that he said the rubber seal may have corroded, so that along with the garbage disposal replacement would have been almost $1200!!! I called another company and they came out the same day. That technician tried turning the blades with the allen wrench and then hit the reset button on the garbage disposal and it worked! I didn't know about the reset button. I only had to pay for the service call my garbage disposal works. The technician said it was in good shape and should last a few more years. The person from Colepepper seemed full of it and was just trying to take advantage. I cannot recommend them!

Overpriced up-sellers that seem to deliberately escalate simple matters to their master plumbers just to charge for another appointment. We had simple toilet running issues and they were strongly recommending a full toilet rebuild. We did a partial and everything has been great (obviously). We rehired Colepepper when we had an issue with our water pressure because they seemed professional the first time (although we sensed something might be 'off' with them). Someone came to diagnose the issue and couldn't find the source - so they escalated to a master plumber for another appointment. For context, the first appointment was free. When the master umber came, they instantly asked if we had a water softener. We said yes and the issue was diagnosed immediately. Sort of. The master plumber actually said some things that were wrong. Ultimately, the installers of our water softener actually came back and resolved the issue (and explained very logically what happened... Contrary to Colepepper). In short, we won't be using Colepepper again.
