Needed to replace our aging roof and got estimates from a few highly rated companies. Roofing Specialists of San Diego was not the cheapest option, but their estimate was by far the most detailed and Mark Dice was excellent to work with. He was super responsive and extremely knowledgable on all aspects of the project. He also handled coordination with the solar company and even helped prepping everything before the crew arrived. I am amazed how efficient the crew was and how quick and smoothly everything went.
The crew added new OSB sheeting, replaced damaged wood, installed additional vents, replacement Velux skylights and new Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration Cool Mountainside asphalt shingles as well as a new Dibiten torch down cricket.
A few minor issues we discovered were quickly taken care of and our new roof looks great! With the great workmanship and a 50 year warranty we feel confident we will be ok for a very long time. I highly recommend Roofing Specialists of San Diego!

I am so happy i went with this company and had the pleasure of being able to speak with Mark directly. Mark is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable in areas I knew NOTHING about! Calling and texting was a breeze, the honesty I received from him is greatly appreciated. These guys are in fact roofing specialists. They are not greedy with their quotes like a lot of other companies can be; they actually work with homeowners. Workers were prompt and very professional. Our roof was done quickly & it looks beautiful! …Ours was a tough job too. Previous roofers totally flopped and caused significant damage both internally and externally because it was not done properly from the start.. Roofing Specialist made our roof safe again. Thank you so much!! I will be going with them for future projects.

I was enlisted by my daughter to help find a contractor to replace the roof on her recently purchased home. We were aware the roof needed replacement prior to the purchase so that was not a surprise, but the process of securing bids for the job was challenging. We contacted a total of eight roofers, of which only five came out and submitted proposals. As expected, there was a bit of a range in the dollar amounts quoted and they varied in the level of detail provided. Attempting to get clarity on what was being proposed was a struggle. That is where Mark from Roofing Specialists of San Diego began to shine. During the inspection, he attempted to explain in terms I could understand what needed to be done and some of the unknowns in a roofing project. Mark is a bit over the top with how he presented his company, to the point we were a little hesitant to go with Roofing Specialists, but their quote was reasonable (in the middle of the $ range), it included a detailed breakdown, and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive, so we decided to go with them. And we are glad we did. Once we had the bid, Mark was responsive to questions and adjusted the quote after we realized a portion of the job was not included. Mark reached out several times ahead of our scheduled project date to work through last minute logistics. The crew (9+) arrived on time. They were professional, efficient, organized, and respectful. Given the age/condition of the roof we had banked on needing to replace a portion of wood sheeting, the additional cost of which was clearly spelled out in the bid. Unfortunately for us, once the roof decking was exposed there was a lot more damage than anticipated. After getting our approval, Roofing Specialists replaced approximately 40% of the roofing decking. This added a few thousand dollars to the final cost, but we were very happy to be able to remove the damaged wood before the new roof was installed. Even with that setback, the crew still finished on time and left the property in excellent condition. And we got pictures of the work progress several times a day.

Roofing Specialists of San Diego came out after recent storms to check out my active roof leak. Determined that my flat roof was poorly installed and it was a matter of time before other areas would leak. Replaced entire flat roof. Company was quick (took 1-day to complete work with their large team) and are responsive. It's a lot of $$$, but am pleased with the results. Also pleased with the fact they do take photos of their progress and work which is very helpful as most people won't walk their roof afterwards.

Let's be honest. Putting $$$ into a new roof is not a 'fun' expense! However, the responsible homeowner knows it is a necessary place, in which, we must place money for maintenance.
That said, working with Mark Dice of Roofing Specialists of San Diego took the sting away from this maintenance 'must do' expense! Mark is very knowledgeable and professional when it comes to being a Roofing Specialist! He walked us through every step of the process - from beginning to the end of the project. Every day he updated us with photos of our roof - at every stage tear off to completion. Mark also coordinated the removal and re-installation of our solar and (pool) thermal solar panels, in accordance to maintaining the integrity of the roofing warranty.
The crew arrived early (7:00 a.m.) to get their start on the day. They worked hard all day long, made a lot of dust during the demo stage, but left our property (fairly) dust free when the project was complete.
I cannot stress the professionalism of Roofing Specialists of San Diego enough. I highly recommend this company for your roofing needs. Contact Mark @ Roofing Specialists of San Diego. You will not regret it!
