I wish I could give them zero stars. My entire experience with this company was a nightmare, filled with high-pressure sales tactics and misinformation. Before agreeing to the installation, I had concerns and questions about the contract. I was told that it wasn’t a flat rate bill and that I would be charged per kWh, to the point that they even called me on the day of installation, saying they had secured a rate of 0.27/kWh. This was a complete lie. I was correct in my initial understanding—the contract was for a flat rate bill. Despite my repeated attempts to resolve the issue, they insisted there was nothing they could do and that I was locked into a 25-year contract.
To make matters worse, my wife and I had to stop sleeping in our bedroom because they installed the batteries on the bedroom wall, and we can hear them humming at night. When I discovered where they were placing the batteries, I asked the installers to stop due to my concerns. Instead, I was offered $1,000 to accept the installation, with the assurance that everything would be fine. I reluctantly took the money, as I was financially strapped. Since then, I’ve contacted them multiple times to have the batteries moved, but there’s been no resolution.
I’ve now reached out to a lawyer and am preparing to take legal action. The lawyer mentioned that he’s sued Sunrun countless times for similar issues and described them as a “giant scam.” I would never recommend Sunrun to anyone, no matter how appealing their offers may sound. It’s not what it seems.

At first we were very skeptical with getting solar panels. Our first experience with trying to get solar panels was a bit rocky. With the help of Alexa, our experience with Sun Run has been great! Alexa made the process super nice and easy. Alexa answered all of our questions, was very reliable and most of all kept us up to date with the project. Thank you!!

I have been working with Sunrun for about 2 years now. Like the other reviews state they have zero accountability and communication. I have been referred to several individuals who have not contacted me back. My machine completely turned off about 2 months ago and I have attempted to contact several times to fix the issue.
Update:
The email that was given is not in service and bounced my emails back. I also have not found a way to private message you. Since then my battery has been replaced and my bill has dropped significantly since the system is now functioning properly. Today I asked for compensation for the lack of communication and increased bills. The case manager that was on my case I have never talked to although I attempted several times within the three months. I feel that I have not been taken seriously throughout this entire process specifically with the higher ups that I have spoken to. The technicians and customer service representatives have done great through this process. On the phone I have been told that my bill has been normal for the past few years and I have no case. I just wish I was taken seriously, my time was respected and I was talked to with respect.

I am extremely disappointed with Sunrun and their failure to resolve an issue that is entirely their fault. After discovering that my solar system was improperly installed, I have patiently attempted to work with them for months. Despite multiple communications and efforts to address this matter, they have yet to provide a resolution.
Instead of taking accountability and offering a timely reimbursement, I have been passed from one person to another with no progress. This lack of responsibility and professionalism is unacceptable. Their delays and inaction have caused significant financial stress and frustration.
I expected much better from a company in this industry, but Sunrun has completely failed to deliver on their promises. I strongly advise others to be cautious when considering their services.
I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau.
